Empowering Our Heroes:

Partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project

February 12, 2024 Recreation By Design, Elkhart, Indiana. “All sacrificed some; some sacrificed all.” That simple saying is simply profound. How do you thank someone (and their family) who covers us with a blanket of freedom, sometimes at the cost of physical and or mental anguish, some even paying the ultimate price?

Here at Recreation by Design, we believe in making a difference in our communities, whether that is inside our homes, at work, or beyond. As part of our commitment to our social/communal responsibilities, and to say “thanks”, we are thrilled to be collaborating with The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) for 2024. Our shared goal is to support and honor all those men and women who’ve covered us with a blanket of freedom. Through our partnership we’ll be making an annual financial contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) which will in turn contribute to ensuring their vital mission of empowering wounded veterans.

The WWP is a nonprofit organization that is renowned throughout the USA, and perhaps beyond, dedicated to empowering and supporting post 9/11 veterans who’ve incurred mental and/or physical injuries while serving the country. Their mission is simple: “To foster the most successful, well adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.” As a company deeply rooted in values, we at RBD believe in aligning ourselves with an organization that provide critical programs and services for wounded veterans and we believe WWP is a great fit.

By collaborating with them through financial donation and marketing, we hope to help raise funds to continue their mission and raise awareness pertaining to the challenges wounded warriors (and their families) face every day. We also hope to inspire others to join in such a noble cause, whether it’s WWP or some other recognized organization. Part of the WWP mission includes a variety of projects and programs such as mental, physical rehab, career counseling and community engagement and participation.

Our partnership with WWP is not just a one-time collaboration. It symbolizes a long-term commitment to supporting brave men and women who’ve served. We will continue to support our communities, both at home and abroad. You, too can get involved: Donate, Spread awareness; Volunteer. As we embark on this meaningful journey with WWP, we’d like to take a moment and say “thanks” to all women and men who’ve served, and continue to serve our country, sacrificing so much so we can enjoy the finer things in life, including freedom. May you always know that we’re grateful for your commitment to the county, to preserving our core values. Our words can not express enough. THANKS! And may God protect and watch over you and your family.
